Sounds like a timing issue. Bring the number 1 piston to top dead center. Remove the distributor cap and see if the distributor rotor is pointing to the number 1 spark plug wire tower. If it's not, adjust the distributor housing so that it is. If it still won't run, do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero, the timing chain has jumped. HTH. -Jim

So I redid the timing point on fly wheel I am still having no luck with it starting I didn't do a compression test since I don't have a tool for that but it sounded like it was going to start then didn't any ideas or should I just try to get a compression tester

If you know you have spark and fuel but it won't run then yes. Do the compression test. Are you sure that the #1 cylinder is at top dead center and the distributor rotor is lined up with the #1 spark plug wire tower on the distributor cap? HTH. -Jim

I am not 100 %sure if it's at top dead Center but I I looked at a you tube video and did what the man did on there did you know where the points are supposed to be lined up at for top dead Center

Remove the #1 cylinder spark plug. Put your thumb over the spark plug hole. Have a helper "bump" the ignition key until you feel pressure start building under your thumb. Then look at the marks on the crankshaft pulley. When they're lined up that'll be top dead center. HTH. -Jim
