Asked by Sam Aug 20, 2010 at 11:54 PM about the 1992 Chevrolet C/K 1500

Question type: General

My dad has a 92' 1500 with the 4.3 liter engine with about 170 grand on the odometer. I was wondering how much longer we can expect it to keep going? I'm hoping to drive it some day.

It'll last as long as you take care of it.

My 1997 c1500 has just hit 400k and it’s still running, even after I’ve beat it up in the roads , raced it, pushed it to its limits, and crashed it. I’m repairing it as I go but no major damages have happened, everything was an easy fix.
