engine misses

when i'm driving in overdrive and i slow down, when
i try to regain speed it sputters and misses , i can
drop  down to 3 and it stops , it only in OD that it
happens , won't do it in 3 ... i replace rotor cap and
button, fuel filter , seems to run better but still runs
rough when in overdrive , only when i try to speed
back up

Should check the spark plugs, but clean the Mass Air Flow Sensor with the appropriate spray cleaner, and clean the throttle body and throttle body butterfly inside the throat of the throttle body.
