truck won't go beyond 30 mph

I was driving just fine then I heard a clunk in front
of me felt like I ran something over then won't go
beyond 30 mph I didn't leave anything on the road
either

The basics for problems at higher rpms, check for a blockage of some kind, the first two things I think of is fuel and exhaust? Any applicable trouble codes? Do you think the tranny is ok?
