2001 s-10 will not start after heavy rain

Truck has 132,000 miles starts and runs like new till heavy rain,which happened again last Thurs. and Fri. here in South Carolina This has happened 3-4 times before will tow to independent garage and will either start right away or it will sit there for 3-4 days and will start but the mechanics can not find anything wrong fuel pump has been replaced,12,000 miles on tuneup.Last time 11 months ago had truck for 7 days send can,t find anything but replaced distributor cap.Could the cap need to be replaced again?

The pickup in the distributor could be going bad. Or the ign control module inside it as well.

ignition control module has been replaced also cap and rotor button every thing seems to be o.k.
