It was at 129000. I bought it as is and It is now 160000 Haven't had a tune up since I bought it. I bought it two years ago in February . Do I have to take it somewhere to get it scanned? I just recently within the last mont or so took it to autozone to get it scanned, had to buy a new battery. The engine has been sputtering for at last 2 weeks. Any idea how much a tune up will cost and what the issue could be besides a tune up. Thanks!

AutoZone is a good place to get it scanned again. If the car is in good shape, it is certainly worth a tune up. The tune up may just fix your problem. A scan should give you some answers. Lots of things can make a car act like this. Get her tuned and scanned and post the info back here and let us know how it comes out.

So, I took the car to AutoZone and they said they can't run tests because no check engine light is on. Idk what to do.

The tune up is still a good idea if it hasn't had one. AutoZone is a pain. Codes can still be there even if the light is off. If you don't know anyone with a code scanner then you may have to go with the tune up only and see what happens. It is money well spent. I would hate to have you do this for one problem, but If you are going to work on your own vehicle it would be a good idea to own a code scanner. The sky is the limit on price, but you can get them used on eBay pretty cheap.
