Trouble starting ‘06 Ford Focus when it’s cold.

Asked by Gabbi123 Nov 12, 2017 at 04:45 PM about the 2006 Ford Focus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When it’s cold out my focus takes a while to start. I
have to turn the battery on, sit for a minute then try
to turn on the car. As of late it’s been super cold so
to get it started i have to again turn on the battery
wait a few minutes then turn on the car while
quickly stepping on the gas to kinda force it on.
What do i need to do to fix it?

Maybe your car needs a tuneup. You may also need an engine block heater.
