Broken fuel line and issues on an 06 ford focus

Asked by seth95127 Aug 10, 2015 at 06:36 AM about the 2006 Ford Focus ZX4 SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 06 ford focus 2.0 zx4. CEL
popped on and autozone ran it as the
bottom o2 sensor needed to be replaced. I
rented the tool and did it myself.  When
replacing it i made a horrible mistake of
bumping the fuel line and it disconnected. I
simply reconnected it .After driving a mile
down the road the fuel line busted off and
was spraying all over.  I then clamped the
hose to the connector and gas started
pooring out the bottom connection and i
clamped that as well. Now the car starts
and runs but has a humming sound at idle.
Its no longer leaking but the hose seems
like its inflating. What should i do?
