Front end of 90s er Mustang for 66 mustang upgrade
What newer front end can I put onto a 66 coupe?
With 3 cases of duct tape it will fit like a glove. OJ Simpsons glove that is.
This will sound cruel, but nothing even slightly within reason. The only other front end that stands even a *slight* chance of fitting is the front end from an early Mercury Cougar. The Cougar was based on the Mustang, but the body was drastically altered to make the Cougar more upscale. And the Cougar body panels are VERY hard to find, and extremely expensive when they are located, as there is no aftermarket support for Cougars on the same scale as there is for the Mustang. Most Mercury owners have to buy an entire car for spare parts. A custom front end is always possible, but you are looking at thousands of dollars in fabricating and customization fees, like $10,000 or more, and that's just for making it, not including paint or any other parts.
Why F up a great looking car? If you want the best looking Mustang use the GT lights.
BTW the first year Cougar was a 67 and the fenders and doors are completely different than a 66 Stang. Sure you could customize your car but it will end up looking stupid at best even if you have mega bucks for custom body work.
Incidentally the 90's Mustangs were butt ugly. This would be the Worst possible choice for a sheet metal donor. You do know the new Stangs imitate the older, classic Mustangs?
