putting side pipe exhaust on my 1979 Camaro , what length would I need

burnt ankles....you will have to measure accomodating engine vibration/movement...use an ordinary tape measure...and your exhaust bending machine....make a couple of tries at it~ there may be kits available---will start shoppin' for ya~

For the best look, and fit, either buy a kit or go to a muffler shop that can do the correct measurements and put the bends in at the right spots for an equal fit on both sides. As far as size? Do you want the bare pipe look? Go at least 3 inch and stainless steel. If you use covers, 1 3/4 to 2 1/2 inch will suffice.
