blower motor repair?

i started hearing a ticking sound coming from behind the glove box and was told it may be the blower motor but if the recirculate button is pushed and the indicator light comes on the ticking stops

thanks for the help but when you say actuator are you talking about the resistor that's also up behind the glove box or is this something different? and thanks again

thank you so very much, at least now ive got an idea of what to do and what what to look for.

thanks, ill check into that, I was wondering can a OBD ll code reader be pluged in and used to pinpoint what the problem is? I ask because im on a fixed income (ssi/ssa) and can't afford the hourly shop charges that will add up thanks
