I have a 2006 Saturn ION 4 door that is throwing engine codes. This morning on the way to work the check engine light came on and TRAC showed on the odometer display. Can any one help?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an extended warranty that is about to expire and this is the third repair in 5 months. I like the car, I just don't like the suspense of what is next.  The last time the codes I could get and what the part store could get where nowhere near what the mechanic said was wrong.  He should know, it worked when he was finished.  I could really use some help.

first thing first is get the codes pulled most parts stores can give u the engine code, but the trac light code will need to be retrieved by a slightly better scanner than what the parts stores scanners are. the lights could be related or could be 2 seperate problems.

The only code that anyone could pull up was a p2135. The car starts and runs fine. It has problems as soon as you put it in gear. It moves ok in reverse, but bucks, jumps, and tries to stall? in drive.

p2135 is a throttle position code from what i have found. possiblly a bad sensor, wiring, or even i heard of some people talking about pcm/ecm replacement.
