How do i set the timing of my 94 firebird V6?
my car has jumped time and i cant find any information on fixing it. if anyone could help i would appreciate it very much.
did the belt fail????? what engine???? google >how to set/repair timing
When installing the new timing chain set, line up the dimples on both the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets. Either have both the camshaft and crankshaft dimples at 12 o'clock. Or have the camshaft dimple at 6 o'clock and the crankshaft dimple at 12 o'clock. You'll have to refer to a repair manual that covers your engine. Most GMs, except Cadillac, are cam at 6 o'clock and crank at 12 o'clock. HTH. - Jim
