check all fuses and relays

Thanks for answering Mike. I can also tell you that sometimes they'll all start working at the same time , only to quit again a little later. Would those symptoms be consistent with a faulty relay?

hmmm, possibly, but it sounds more like a short in wiring somewhere. had a similar thing happen on a Buick. heater fan would work intermittently. would come on by shutting the passenger door. ended up being a loose wire connection under the dash.

Start with the relays. A lot of them are designed to be self resetting so that could explain why it cuts out and then reconnects randomly. If its a faulty relay a new one may be the fix, but if something elsewhere in the system is at fault the new relay will trip as well.
