Fog lights on pontiac grand prix

Asked by Jan 23, 2017 at 04:13 PM about the 1999 Pontiac Grand Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday the fog lights stayed on even though
engine was not running. Today car won't start. Do I
need new battery.  PS the car did start last night.

1 Answer

Not necessarily, depending on the condition of the battery, it may just need to be charged back up. But need to make sure the fog lights are off, or they drain the battery down so the car doesn't start.
