how rare is my car? whats the specs on it
how much it could be worth? i was wondering how much hp it has if it were stock, its 3 ltr v6 turbo. what size my turbo is and how much boost it will give with this car.how many there are left. i dont ever see them for sale or on the internet. i got this car and dont know to much about it, please let me know any specs you can tell me about it. send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org ~joe

not a rare car is a production car.
stock turbos are t2s with a .63 A/R housing on the 5 speed and a .54 housing on the auto, the 96 is the last year of production in the us, and is the bad year to get as they lost variable valve timing due to the gay ass switch to obII emissions bs, so they lost part of the powerpand, plus obII emmission are gay in general, but still are 300hp stock with a manual tranny and 280 stock with an auto tranny. they lowered it for the auto because the auto is weak and would burn out otherwise. no they are not still in production, 99 was the last year in japan and 96 the last year for the us. a 96 if left bone stock is still worth about 12-15k depending on condition. they are still scattered all over the us but are getting more rare everyday due to spoiled teens getting them when they dont know how to drive and crashing them right away. the engine is a pentroof combustion chamber, 24 valve, dohc(dual overhead cam), 3.0L 60 degree V6. nissan designed it to almost be 2 3 cylinders on the same crank, it has true dual exhaust, true dual intake with dual intake manifolds and throttle bodies, and in the turbos case twin turbos with twin intercoolers. they respond very well to mods but if not taken care of right can be very expensive, so dont abuse it. oh the stock turbos are pretty much limited to about 15 psi which is where the stock injectors need replacing anyway. the stock 3 speed fuel pump in the twin turbo can handle about 700hp, and the stock 2 speed in the non turbo is good to about 450 hp. it has independent dual wishbone suspension all around with 11 inch rotors and 4 piston calipers in the front, and 11.7 inch rotors and 2 piston calipers in the rear. comes stock with a viscous type limited slip differential that actually performs very well. if i were you i would sell the 96 and buy another year. the 96 is hard to mod because of the obII emmisions shit and there arent many much needed ecu upgrades for that year. a 95 is the best year to get for a twin turbo, and the only years you really dont want to get aside from a 96 is the 90 and 91. so aim for a 92-95, and 5 speed is way more fun and handles much better power than the auto.
If you have a 1996 Twin Turbo then I'd say you have one of the more rare Z32's. The production run in 1996 for the Twin Turbo was very small. So check your VIN number. Aside from that it's not one of the more desirable 300ZX's to have because of all the OBD2 changes that were made. Although it is rare. The only TT's that are more rare and the Gold nonturbos and the purple turbos. Mostly because again there were a small production run of those colors and only for a year or so.

Since it was a 1996 it's rarity is higher than other z32 because that year was the last year nissan shipped the 300zx to the U.S. since the currency differences drove the price up too high in the U.S. The 300zx production continued up to 1999 in Japan which brought a new front bumper look to the Z and they also added a 2+2 TT model Production Numbers in 1996 2 Seat NA: 1,158 4 Seat NA: 700 Turbo: 577 Convertible: 194 Total: 2,629
response to sam burrs comment, though nissan changed out the oil emissions in the 96' version, you can easily change it back to the original. i just bought the old ECU chip that was used inthe nissan 300zx's before the ECU change. its easy to install and it boost an extra 90 horsepower. plus it only cost me a cheap $32 on ebay
