Battery dead and keyfarb unable to open door. Need advice on how to get hood open to charge battery
Locked car with keyfarb. Lights left on overnite. Now unable to open doors
with key or with remote keyfarb. Can't get hood open either. Any help on how
to bypass doors or open hood???? Need to charge battery & get into the car
You said you could not open the door with the key. Did you try it on the passenger side? Not likely the key would fail in both locks but I suppose it could be damaged somehow. You may be able to open the hood from the underside by either compressing the latch with a long screwdriver or loosening the mounting bolts/nuts and letting the latch come loose.
I have exactly the same problem. My battery is so dead that the manual key can't unlock the doors, which... someone should be fired over. I'm at a meter. It's snowing. Waiting for Nissan dealership to open so they can explain why I have my keys, a dead battery, a fully-charged Jump-n-Carry and a major crisis. Will try Taver's suggestions to try and pry open the hood.
Also there is only a keyhole on the drivers' side; mine is an '09
@taver91. You evidently don't have a clue what your talking about so please let someone who does answer the question, PLEASE
