1999 Altima Codes - Can one repair fix all 3 codes?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Service Engine Light came in my 1999 Altima on so I had a diagnostic tool give me codes. It produced 3 codes. 1) P0325 "Knock Sensor Problem (Bank #1). 2) P0420 "Catalyst Problem (Bank #1), 3) P0141 "O2 Sensor B1S2 Heater Problem".....

The mechanic said these shouldn't leave me stranded, but should be addressed. One of my experienced friends told me that I shouldn't need to fix all three "problems" or "codes".

Does anyone know if one of these codes is causing the other codes to appear? Could fixing just one be suficient causing the other codes to go away? I doubt I need to do the "Catalyst Problem Bank 1". I am thinking a Sensor is causing the other codes where problems don't exist.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

the o2 and the catalyst are related, b1s2 measures the b1 catalyst's performance, so if the sensors got a problem, it will think the cat has a problem too. The knock sensor is not related, first you have to figure out if the sensor is bad, or if its doing its job and reporting a motor knock.

Could be a speed sensor one came on, on my 96 but it was the speed sensor in the transmission. But i have a 5 speed and its a different problem apparently would also cause your speedometer to stop working every once in a while.
