Question type: General

I just bought this SUV and decided to turn on the awd to see if it worked and nothing happens when I press AWD lock button but I noticed that on the dashboard the AWD light is on. I read the manual and it is not clear.

I had hoist the front end and I started the engine mowing I had have still the light for the a.w.d. lock on dashboard and have it engage the speed forward and backward and I accelerate it make all the speeds changing with out the rear end activated at no point on time then bring it back down to the ground and I took it for a ride that's when I noticed that the back end feels heavy and the a.w.d. light still on in dashboard what can I do to clear the a.w.d. and what's that is causing the drag on rear end
