Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My husband checked oil couple of days
before and was fine. Car started smoking
and was completely out of oil in a couple of
days...what all could the problem be

Is there a puddle of oil below the engine when you park? Start by checking and cleaning/replacing the PCV but the engine may have a serious problem like broken rings or a major leak.
