IMA check engine light and red battery light

Asked by paulawaulla Mar 16, 2019 at 07:48 PM about the 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i just purchased this car and my IMA check
engine light is on, and just today my red
battery light came on, but my car still starts
fine and acts like it’s still charging. It idles
nicely and doesn’t sound weak. I’m scared to
drive it because I don’t really know what’s
going on.

I have the same problem with my 2006 Honda civic hybrid . The IMA light only goes away when I disconnect the battery but I assume that only happens because it reprogrammed the computer. I am only getting about 200 miles on a full thank of petrol.
