Tire size compatibility

Asked by Amanda Sep 08, 2019 at 03:18 AM about the 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Will a 215/60/R16 tire fit or is it
compatible wit a 205/55/R16 tire?

1 Answer

40,150

Amanda, I will say NO, as the 215 tire is over an inch too big for your vehicle and will rub when turning, plus the speedo will be off. Stick with the OEM stock size for safety reasons.
