Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 92 Ford Ranger 5 speed the
clutch was slipping cuz I'm low on
fluid it got stuck in 3rd gear and
wouldn't come out it feels like it's
shifting though so I pulled the shifter
and make sure that the three slides
were lined up in neutral it's lined up if
as if it was a neutral but when I let out
on the clutch it's still wants to take off
it's stuck in 3rd gear but the shifter
says it's in neutral what could cause a
problem

1 Answer

Clutches do not slip because you are low on clutch hydraulic fluid. The clutch is worn out.
