want to know what this part is called and why is it leaking oil?

That is one of your valve sensors (one is intake and other is exhaust). They have an O ring around them that can be replaced, or if there's a gap the valve may need to be replaced. Be very careful if you take it out as these can be fragile over time and you don't want it to be broken off inside there. There's some good videos on the process if you're looking to DIY.

You'll need to have the dealership preform a test to verify where the leak is coming from. Currently there is a nationwide back order or 5k units for the Oil Filter assembly/adapter. It's rare to have oil spew forward near the coil packs. But it can happen based on the severity of the leak. Mostly this leak will collect between the engine heads and drain out the rear down onto the trans and onto the exhaust. Check under the vehicle to see if there are any other leaks towards the rear of the engine block.
