New Honda City clutch has no 'biting point'

Asked by Ian Aug 09, 2018 at 02:03 AM about the 2018 Honda Civic

Question type: General

I have a very new (3000km) Honda City and it has no biting point.
I simply put it into gear one, while on a level street, and just gently let go of
the clutch and it's in gear 1!?
There is no need to press the accelerator at all.
The dealership did say it has a 'light clutch' but I didn't know it didn't need
ANY acceleration at all.
The same goes for reverse.
If I am however at a slight decline it will obviously stall.
So is this a defect or just a feature amongst newer model cars?
