Honda coupe 80's ??

Asked by Captzoom May 31, 2015 at 02:41 PM about the Honda Civic

Question type: General

Hello everyone I am new to the site. I have a question that may prove very difficult to answer. I have googled and searched through picture after picture after forum . .  There is a honda that my mother had when I was young. It miiight be a small four door but it is most likely a coupe. It was a hatchback. It is a car from either the late 70's or very early 80's. It was brown and had that roadster look where it is buggyish in the passenger area but the front is lower and sleek. I have seen many pics that resemble it but none are it. I attached a pic of the car that looks the most like it but it is not it. I believe it was a civic and it was brown and even had small side vents from what I remember. The front lights were rounded, sort of Porsche-like and the car was a little lower I believe.

Thanks guys. Believe it or not just after asking on CG's I did a search again after months of not looking. I believe I found it. Thank you for being prompt.

Thanks tennisshoes. I think it is actually like the one in Fordnut's pic. I think it was the like an '81 Civic. It probably looked more sportcarish to me cause I was a kid lol.

I had an 83' Honda civic 1500 for 24 years it had 403,000 miles when it was killed by aS10 Chevy pickup. But I still was able to drive it to the junk yard and get $150 for it.The car in the picture looks like a 82 or 83 2dr hatchback.

I had a new 1982 Honda Civic 1500 automatic bought it in Miami. I drove it for 20 years,,,,best car I ever had. 0 problems. Took it to New York then 10 years later Cleveland and finally Atlanta. Sure would like to find another one someday...Tan with dark brown trim right off the showroom floor. Always did my own oil changes...easy to do.
