2003 Mazda Protege5 - Radio and Dome Lights not working?

The radio and dome lights worked just fine on my car until recently. The
battery on my 2003 Mazda Protege5 just shorted out. We jumped the car
and it started working again, but the radio and dome lights did not. The
keyless entry is also dead, but can be done manually with the door.

I replaced the battery and had a mechanic check all the fuses, but
everything is intact. The moonroof and all other lights/features are working,
except for the radio (no display whatsoever), dome lights, and the key fobs.
Plus, there's nothing in the owner's manual about a security code for
rebooting this

Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'm trying to sell the car and am
on a very tight time limit, so anything that you can suggest would be really
appreciated!

Due to the short, there may be issues with the input sensors to the BCM (Body Control Module) or the BCM itself could have been damaged. If you have the ability to do some research and find out what sensors feed the BCM and verifying they are functional you may want to start there. http://www.ehow.com/how_5026968_troubleshoot-body-control- module.html

It's just a fuse. Easy as that. The same thing happened to me.

My cars having the same problem after I changed the alternator. All same issues. No radio, dome lights, or keyless entry. Ever figure out what problem was?

Anyone figure this out yet . I've a 2002 no dome light radio or keyless entry. Also no cruise control. Happened after I jump started it.

anyone fix this issue yet? i just got a 2002 mazda protege5 hatch and everything was working then i read a engine code and the radio and dome lights stopped working on me and i bought a brand new radio and still have nothing all my fuses are still good.
