how can get air in the airbags of a 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII when the car won't run

Asked by ALC Apr 09, 2010 at 12:00 AM about the 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It won't do anything when I turn the key.  I need to get air in the airbags so I can get it on a trailer to get it fixed.  How can I get air in the air bags manually?

There isn't a manual way to do it. If the compressor is functional just make sure your battery has plenty of power and try the key again. If that doesn't work, you'll have to get a flatbed towing service to move the car for you.

If your battery has some power or little power charge the battery and disconnect it from the car for about 5 minutes, then reconnect and try turning the key on again. This should reset the sequence. If the compressor is defective, then it won't run. I have 2 extra compressors for sale if interested. Text me if you need one. 276.594.1542.
