Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’m having a problem with my 2017 Dodge grand
caravan, I have a cylinder two and three misfire I’ve
taken it to two different mechanics and one said
that it needed a new head and the other said it
needed a new engine the one that said it needed a
new engine did some work to the vehicle and it ran
great smooth and no light for two days and then it
started Running rough again and when we brought
it back he said it needed a new engine so I don’t
understand why the car ran great for two days with
no problems because if it was a problem with the
engine I don’t think it would run with no problems
for two days.   can you help me?

My 2014 Grand Caravan did same thing, except it was #2 & #5 misfires. Dealer told me same... needed a new head. Local Mechanic changed spark plugs and the vehicle ran as designed. Try replacing the plugs with the platinum long wear plugs. Cost about $20 a piece but much better than a new head!
