2017 Chevy Cruz stalling at red lights
I've got a 2017 Chevy Cruz that is stalling at red
lights. Does is have to do with the auto stop
feature? Is there a way to override that to make it
If stall-out is constant, it is the auto-stop. To dismantle this feature, Chevy didn't give an easy solution. But there is a workaround. Put gear selector in "L". This isn't low gear, but is a manual setting. Use the shifter button to select the highest gear; which I believe on your car is 9. This manual setting overrides the auto-stop feature and from now on, the transmission will shift automatically up to the highest gear set. That means you can also set the selector to a lower number; say 7 for driving around town.
I have been having this problem with my own 2017 Cruze the past few months as well. I just got a call from my mechanic at the dealership that my starter has died completely which is causing my batteries to be completely drained and that is likely the reason why my car has been stalling at red lights and stop signs. Hope this can help you if you are still having problems!
Help my car seems really weird. Should I tow it or just limp it there?
