Fan kept running after engine shut off

I went to Bible study and cut off engine, but fan kept running. I had only driven about 5 miles and the weather was in the 60s. The fuse was removed to stop it. When it was replaced, it worked fine for the rest of the day. But, the check engine light was on. The dealership did a code check but it didn't identify a specific issue. Car works fine.

If the check engine light was on then that is why the fan was running, never go to the dealer, all they want is your money, they will charge you a diagnostic fee and say they didn’t find anything. This happened to me, while I had a warranty, took it to an independent shop and they found it right away, it was a thermostat that wasn’t closing all the way, after thermostat was replaced no more problems.
Electric fans usually keep running after you shut off an engine until the engine's cool enough to stop. Pulling the fuse is what likely caused the CRL to illuminate. Now, after you run the car a few times, the CEL should disappear... Leave car mechanics to car mechanics.
thermostat or coolant temp sensor are usually the problem.
