transmission locked up

I can't get the gearshift to move at all

first thing I would do is get under it to see if something is blocking the linkage from shifting. when you put it in gear you have to press the break peddle,it relases a switch for it to go into gear,this switch is probley gone bad,have it checked,this does not mean your tranny is gone out.I would have the switch replaced.
