Cooling fan

I have a 2015 jetta tdi s. When is the cooling fan supposed to come on? Mine is only
coming on when I turn the a/c on

Your primary fan and/or fan control circuit is faulty. Get to the dealer, it's under warranty.

BTW, cooling is critical, especially in diesels and especially in these warm temperatures...don't mess around...get it seen ASAP.
