Cooling Fan

Asked by Racer47891 Nov 25, 2017 at 06:14 PM about the 2008 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On my 2008 Jetta the cooling fan is now running
really loud when it runs. Is this a cooling fan gone
bad or is there something else wrong?

if its loud check to make sure all the fan blades are there and are not damaged. Some car fans will pickup in speed when they click on showing a sign they are going bad others stop altogether and others will run none stop. its not always the fan tho check for leaks under the throttle body there is usually a 4 point connector there that cracks and leaks all over and it has a sensor in it that will tell the fan to run if the car gets to hot.
