on my 1995 ford mustang witch is an automatic and the gear selector keeps getting stuckwhat is the problem

no i did that i talked to a friend and it is the spring in the handle of the gear selector

well its a ford thats why just kidding the spring might be broken so its not releasing the shifter

it will go out of park with both hands sqeezing the button in if it is not in park it will release easliy
