2014 key fob or dead battery

Asked by GuruW3ZBT May 31, 2018 at 08:05 PM about the 2014 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: General

My key fob would not open the car automatically and the car won't start but tells
me that they key is not close enough to the car - even though it is right next to
the start button.

Is it the battery of the car or the key fob batter? HELP

Start with the cheapest which is the key fab and if that's not it then the battery in the car
