Battery keeps dying

Asked by Lwoodd3 Oct 11, 2016 at 02:27 PM about the 1986 Ford Crown Victoria

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1986 Ford LTD Crown Victoria and
my battery keeps dying. I done brought 2
new batteries and they both died in my car
after maybe a hour or hour in a half of
driving. I haven't yet replaced starter or
altenator but I preformed an altenator test
with both new batteries and it showed my
altenator was still good. When it die tho,
before it goes completely dead, I hear a
rapid clicking noise coming from a circular
mount with plugs in it near where my
battery is hooked up at; like almost right
above it, over to the side a little. What is that
and does it have somthing to do with my
battery not keeping a charge?
