Blown engine or bad battery

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I know my car needed battery sooner
or later I was driving temp never went
up didn't smoke or run hot car
started declining speed n like shut
down couldn't open or close
windows or move seat after short
period sitting there no smoke or
nothing tried instant jump start it but
small jump box and car dash lights
came on n tried turn on but not
enough power to battery I believe so
charging jump box blown motor or
battery just had oil change last
weekend n I always took care of
checking fuilds

Sounds like a bad alternator. When the alternator stops working the engine will continue to run off of just the battery until the battery is dead. I'd test the alternator first and recharge the battery. If the battery is more than a few years old, replace that too. Hope that helps! Jim
