Rough Insurance Cost Estimate

Asked by Guru5B44T Jan 08, 2018 at 11:23 PM about the 2013 Ford Mustang

Question type: General

Hey guys, I'm 18 and looking to buy a 2012-2014
Mustang GT.  I'm paying for this with my own
money, but I'm worried my dad won't want to pay
for my insurance with the potential increase in
price. Does anyone know how much that
would increase my insurance rates? Currently I'm
insured on my 1994 v6 camaro, 1999 corvette
(mom), 2002 corvette zo6(dad), 2007 Cadillac DTS,
and 2018 Corvette ZO6 (dad again). Now I'm only
listed as a primary driver for the old camaro and
nothing else, but my premium still includes the
cost of the other cars. Do you reckon my insurance
will increase a whole lot if I replace the camaro
with the Mustang, or will it be roughly the same
with all the other high performance cars I have
access to?
Thanks

Your insurance will probably go up with a more valuable and faster car. Ask your insurance agent before buying the GT.

They probably have the Camero insured for liability only. I would wait until you graduate and can get a job.
