Subaru legacy 2012

Asked by lilashes14 Oct 04, 2015 at 10:02 AM about the 2012 Subaru Legacy

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When coming to a stop or not even trying to stop just try to slow down before a red light, my car stutters and then stalls. Sometimes if i can either try to speed up a little bit to keep it from stalling out. It doesn't happen all the time but it is starting to get very annoying. A coworker of mine said it was the air filter but I had it replaced and it still doing it. I just want other peoples thoughts before I go to a shop and get charged an arm and leg to find out maybe that it was something simple.

small vacuum leak? idle speed? have you tried asking on a legacy forum?

Try pumping the brakes after you start your car and after it’s warmed up to make sure it isn’t a leak in your booster. Otherwise, ask a legacy forum and take it to a shop. HTH
