Engine code p0013 on my '12 chevy Equinox. It's acting a little funny during acceleration but other than that it has seemed fine, until my remote start stopped working. Could the 2 be related?

A factory remote start will not work if the check engine light is on or while the hood is up.

Take it back to the dealer. It's a cam position senser code. It will be under your 5 year 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty.
