2012 town and country electrical issues

Asked by Guru99P4QQ Oct 15, 2020 at 07:17 AM about the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving my van will sometimes loose all
power. Lights go out, steering gets rough and
engine shuts off. Sometimes it will cut completely
out then I will have to stop put in park then it fires
back up again. Other times when it cuts out while
driving I will coast for about 2-3 seconds and it
turns back on all by it self. No check engine light or
anything on the dash.

First thing is to clean the battery cable connections and have the battery tested.

Hello Bob, I had already taken both the Vitter and alternator and got them tested both was good. I just bought my batter about 3 months ago brand new and replaced the alternator around April-May.

Did you ever sort out this issue? We had the exact same issue twice with our 2014 T&C today. Full power cut off (all electrical), engine stalls, and the fires right back up like nothing was wrong.
