2012 Town and Country van stalling

Asked by Guru5LRX6 Jan 14, 2018 at 06:25 PM about the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2012 Town and Country has been
stalling as well. Mechanoc did a thorough
chrck and coyldn't find the problem. It just
starts to power down and power steering
locks up until it completely does. I remove
the key, wait a few seconds and start it up
with no trouble. Just really terrifying as I
have to drive on the highway alot and with
kids in the car!

Chrysler had a issue with the ignition cylinders, were the vehicle will shut off while while driving. they blamed it on to heavy of a key chain damaging the ignition switch.

Why do you wait before restarting? ... If it did what you described even after restarting then I would say that your Catalytic Converter has a blockage ,, does your transmission shift OK ? Because irregular shifting or jumping back and forth is another sign of a restricted Cat
