Question type: Shopping & Pricing

How legit are the cars on car Gurus? I was
interested in a 2012 Chevy Malibu. I spoke
with a gentleman and have him my
information. Haven't heard nothing back??

Anyone can create listing on this site, just like Craigslist et al. This site may do a better job of filtering out the obvious scammers and fake ads, but they are still ads that can be posted by anybody out there.

That car is still advertised on the selling dealer's website. Has a clean Carfax too! New battery. Mileage is on the high side. But it is a 1 owner, dealer serviced, car. Try calling the dealer tomorrow. Some dealers are slow to respond to emails. HTH. -Jim

If you're a long distance buyer have the car inspected by a professional inspection company. Cost about $150. That way you'll know what you're buying and they'll know you're a serious customer. If you're close by. Go to the dealer in person. HTH. -Jim

Never use e-mail to contact a dealer. In person is always best and phone contact is second best.
