Chevy cruze 2012 the fan stop working
Im on the freeway it said turning off a/c due to high
temp. Then says turn off car to prevent over
heating.. I went n got coolant put in because it was
empty.. It was running good for a couple miles then
said the same thing.. Turns out my fan cut off after
just leaving a macanic. Could it be a fuse or
Could be a component in the fan electrical system, a temperature sensor, a relay, or maybe the cooling system needs to be purged since it was empty.
I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze LTZ and I had the same problem a few weeks back. I ended up needing a new thermostat and I replaced both sensors in the car and it was fine after that.
I have a 2012 Cruze the computer came on and said it turned the a/c off due to overheating. Found out that the thermostat housing cracked and drained a lot of antifreeze. Ever since I had the mechanic change it. I’ve smelled something hot and smoke coming from the radiator I haven’t noticed that the fan is coming on since. It could tell it was coming on before I guess because it was getting hotter than normal and I haven’t noticed that the temperature gauge isn’t saying that it is hot. I’m just curious why I’m seeing smoke coming from behind my fan and radiator
