I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. Today, I decided to remove the stereo and install a new one. The old stereo was not the factory installed version, but an older Blaupunkt model installed by the previous owner. All I did was remove the stereo from the dash, unplug the harness and antennae & remove the wires from the harness. Now, several things have stopped working simultaneously: The key fob will no longer lock/unlock the doors; the instrument panel lights do not work at all; all internal lights will only turn on when the ignition is on & the open door chime does not sound. There may be more that I have yet to discover. I have checked all of the fuses in both locations - under the dash and beneath the hood. They all appear fine. Any ideas? How are all of these things related? 3 Answers
