Check for a blown fuse on the brake light circuit, if no power you won't have brake lights and the release solenoid for the shifter won't operate.

Thanks already checked fuse changed out brale light switch and ill look for the solenoid

Do you have power to the brake light switch, and when you push the brake pedal you should have power in and out, the solenoid for the shifter is downstream from the brake light switch, so if there is no power it also won't work. Make sense?

Thanks
