Why did my 2002 honda civic die

My starter went out so i have to pop the
clutch to  start my car .i put a new battery im
my car and my car and drove it for 20 min
then my car stalled out and now it wont start
when i pop the clutch why?

Put a new starter in , it's not that hard , then do the trouble shooting for spark , fuel , injector pulse etc.
