Asked by Kay00 Oct 10, 2014 at 11:20 AM about the 2002 Honda Civic EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I'm driving and reach two and
a half RPMs my car acts like it's
going to die but as long as I stay
under the 2.5 mark of the rpm I'm
fine.

Okay, what you're going to want to do is get the vehicle to your local auto parts store and have them retrieve the code(s) using an OBD II scan tool. Most auto parts stores have one behind the counter for you to use, or if they're nice enough, they may do this for you. Once the code(s) are retrieved, write them down. Post the codes back here and we can help you further. Your issue could be as simple as a bad sensor. But at least you will have the codes and you will know what sensor is giving you the trouble.
