Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What does the cruise control switch latch?
Is it a physical relay or is it an electronic
relay.
The switch brings up the cc light when
pressed and I can use cc if I hold my finger
on the switch, as soon as I let go the
switch the light goes out and relay does
not remain latched

NO they don't latch. It's a likely a problem with the cruise control 36700-sda-a01 module, under the dash also check your rear lights anything burnt. really! Finally Honda dealers love to change the switch.

What is the purpose of the switch then? When the switch, (push button), is operated it used to bring up a cc light within the dash board. Once this was initiated you could then set the cc speed. If the above is not initiated, you could not set the cc speed.
